practitioners

Beechwood practitioners have the rare combination of being highly capable strategic facilitators and subject specialists in their own right. They are also experienced in working in conjunction with other specialists.

They know that in today's world of information overload people appreciate the opportunity to stop and think, share ideas and experiences with others, and discover fresh insights for themselves. Therefore they focus on 'asking the right questions of the right people at the right time in the right way', rather than telling them what they think they need to hear. Challenging questions stimulate purposeful conversation, the pre-requisite for effective communication, and therefore collaboration.

They conceive and deliver a meeting as 'a memorable experience', where a balance is maintained between generating content and commitment, discipline and creativity, control and freedom, the macro and micro, etc.

They are fully accountable and transparent around the three key measures of quality, timeliness/speed and cost. On completion of a workshop, participants are asked to rate the quality of their thinking, and their clarity and commitment regarding the bigger picture and their role. They are also asked to record what they liked about the meeting and what they would do differently and better next time. All inputs are anonymous, and are added to a repository built up over 20 years to assist in the learning process.

To qualify for our rigorous training to become an accredited TEAMWIN practitioner, applicants have to be intelligent, articulate, quick thinkers of high integrity, as well as experienced in their field.
